Ron Haslam has announced that his well-known race school will soon be closing its doors after 24 years as one of the UK’s most reputed and recognisable motorcycle track-based tutoring centres.
Founded on the reputation of Haslam’s brilliant motorcycling career, which yielded three world championships and four British championships, the Ron Haslam Race School – run with Ron’s wife Ann – has become a mainstay of the Donington Park circuit.
A statement from the school reads: “It is with great sadness, Ron and Ann Haslam announce that this will be our final year for the Honda Ron Haslam Race School.
Over the 24 years we have had over 86,000 great customers and we would like to thank Honda for all their support in providing the best range of motorcycles from 125cc to the Fireblade.
The training, both on and off track, has been built to suit customers’ individual needs and most importantly to have fun and become safer, better riders.
“We have been working very hard with MSV to secure 10 days in 2020, three of which will run until 8pm so we can accommodate everyone this season.
“We are working on future plans to continue in some form to provide training and sharing of Ron’s expertise and knowledge for everyone in the great industry/sport.’’
