BHR THREE Sisters – August 10/11: Twisties suit Tyler

by

To get the most out of the bigger bikes, you need long straights. Without those at a circuit, it all comes down to who can muscle machines the best.

Usually the larger capacity machines are to be found at the front of the BEARS field, but a combination of tight track and inclement weather suited Tyler Scothern and his nimble BSA B50 very well. He took all four races at the Three Sisters Circuit, but Robert Bowden’s BMW K100 ran him close in race three, finishing just 0.25s adrift.
Sean Hegarty and James Neave won the first two BEARS sidecar races but then had the opportunity to race Steve Kemp’s Moto Guzzi outfit in race three. After a couple of familiarisation laps, Hegarty pulled the pin and reeled in leaders Steve Gagg and Sylvia Hase to win by three seconds.
