200 Miglia di Imola Revival

200 Miglia 2011

After many difficult negotiations and thanks to the unconditional support of the new director of the Pietro Benevuti track, a 4 Hour race will be added to the 2012 programme using the same successful formula that the team runs during the Bikers’ Classics in Spa Francorchamps.

The classic endurance race will be for motorcycles built before 1980, with a Le Mans start on the Italian track, with all the excitement of pit stops and rider changes.

As this year marks 40 years since Paul Smart’s victory in the first 200 Miglia, aboard the factory Ducati, the event will celebrate this with a stunning display of race machines from the Ducati museum in Bologna. There will be a track parade for owners of modern Ducati machines and also public classic track sessions and the usual star parades.
